plastic, wood, graphite, gunpowder_ 7’x4’x3′
A new direction, sort of… this piece uses architectural elements to disrupt or engage patterning. Once again this piece developed from thinking about the seduction of patterning and the ‘will’ or ‘desire’ of architecture and their need to replicate.
The white pattern is hand cut sintra (sheet of pvc) which has been heat formed and the wooden I-beam is oak and ash.
The patterning is derived from the breech of a Winchester Rifle. (see animated .gif below)
